Office Hours - 2019 Goal Setting Mindset

Where will you be in your business this time next year?

Its time to set goals. Of course you're going to set a really big goal for the year, right? Do that...


Also set flexible, ongoing, agile goals that you adjust and refine on a monthly, weekly, daily basis.

Set your big hairy audacious goal for the year and then work backward. Break it down into months then each month set goals for the week.

And every day, start your day with intention working towards the goal that will help you reach that weekly goal.

But all this goal setting is useless, really...

Unless you have the proper mindset to dream big.

Some of us have forgotten how to dream. The process of becoming an adult kind of squeezes it out of us.

It wasn't that long ago that I was trapped in an employee mindset. My thinking was limited to how could I get a raise or a promotion and make just a tidbit more.

That all came to a crashing halt when my kid got sick and I had to quit my job to stay home and take care of her.

It was then that I learned how to dream really big. I learned how to take massive imperfect action...

I learned how to dream so big that it pulled me forward through the fear of doing so many new actions to build a business.

I let action be me coach. I learned as I went. I refined. I failed forward.

I formed a belief that there is an abundant supply of paying clients on the internet.

If you want to build a virtual practice, I encourage you to learn the techniques to fill your calendar and fill your bank account with paying clients.

Get some training. Invest. Learn from others. Learn how to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset.

Facebook will take your money. Don't just throw money at an ad. You will lose your investment unless you know the formulas and proven techniques to made the ads work.

To do this, you will need to convert your niche and brand into something that translates into an ad that brings your ideal client to your landing page.

Meanwhile, think about how to get where you're going using the Waking Up to Autopilot Method:

First: Face where you are today

These are your current results. Don't judge. Be kind to yourself. You are where you are and that is exactly where you need to be. Just face your current results.

Notice how it feels to be where you are today.

Write it down.

Second: What are your desired results for 2019?

Dream big. Then double it.

Think about how will that feel.

Write it down.

Third: Work backward building a plan of what will it take to get there.

What will you need to do each month?

Each week?

Each day?

Remember, You will probably need to invest in some training. There is a reason you aren't there already. If you knew how to get there, you'd be there already. Invest in learning how to get there.
